Hey Joe....

Hey Joe, that was a good trip last week, we had a great time....Dave Hurley gave you a pretty good plug in todays Fresno Bee Fishing Summary, and he sent the 2 pics of Creed and Carli to them for the fish gallery. Bill Karr called and was on his way to Baja but said he would at least get the kids pictures in Western Outdoor News, hopefully he will get "Full On Fishing Charters" mentioned in WON too. Hope your trip Thurs was a success, keep in touch, maybe the news paper mentions will get you some trips. Later, Tim

A fishing story... from Dave to Tim

Hi Dave: Back from a week in Cayucos, fog, sunshine, flat water....nice week. My kids Creed and Carli and Carli's boyfriend Ryan Walker went on a really nice all day bottom fish trip with Joe Anderton. He's just starting a new six-pac charter "Full On Fishing Charters" morrobayfishing.net....805-772-7695...He took us 42 miles north to Cape San Martin, Big Sur area, south of Pt Sur. He's got a 22 ft Radon, pretty fast, I think we did almost 25 kts or so up there, just 2 hrs to the Cape. Fished 6 1/2 hrs "Full On'', he keeps the baits in the water all day, which is great. Uses light but strong Powell swim bait rods developed for bass but enough spine to hoist good size lings, reds etc. We caught full limits of nice reds with a few big Boccaccio and 3 keeper lings. Water is slow to warm, but darn good fishing anyhow, he knows his stuff. Very fun trip, 60 lbs of fillets or so, 100-200 ft of water, so light tackle was really fun. He loves to fish big swim baits in white and various other colors. Also loves salmon fishing and tuna too. Will be a good contact to fish the Morro Bay area and avoid the cattle boats. Saw Merritt over the weekend at the parade etc, he said he had talked to you recently. Hope all is well, I guess I'm back to pontoon boating on Shaver for awhile now....take care, Tim

Salmon bite on.

On Wednesday, John Rawley, of Virg's found Salmon, right out side the rock in 80' feet of water. On the way to work yesterday, same 20 or more boats out, called a friend and asked if wanted to fish the afternoon bite. We left the harbor mouth at 12:30 and had our first 15 pounder in less than a half hour. The second one in the next hour, for the rest of the afternoon till dark no more. Fish came on green Apex 80' down in 80' feet of water.
The news is Salmon, season will be open throught September, closed on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Pics to come.
Best regards,
Captain Joseph Anderton

First 9 days Salmon season Morro Bay

Well the first week of weather was rough. 9 Salmon caught in the fleet of 40 boats.
Slow start for sure, bait is all broken up and hard to find. Fish were caught from inside Estero bay, noth to south, no real concentration of bait.
Today Sunday April 11, Sharon Rawley, from Virg's landing caught two for her passengers. This is really good news. We will be fishing Saturday & Sunday next weekend. Look for our updated report.
Thank's, Captain Joe, BBQ.

Holts' Custom Rods

Hello Larry, thank you, for the great post. The pictures of you & Josh are great. Give my web guy a call and we will add you our to site for the beautiful custom rods you build. Holt's Custom Rods, Atascadero Ca. (805)462-1996. Larry has built over 14 of the most beautiful rods I have ever owned in the past 7 years that work very well. Not just out of the box. We are talking about some very excellent experimental rods that he questioned would work or not? They did beyound our expectations.

From Larry Holt

Capt. Joe Anderton, a good friend, has just put his boat out for Charter. The BBQ is an incredible fishing machine. I have fished with Joe numerous times and he is very safety conscious as well as being great at finding fish. The boat is equipped to the max, including: down riggers, outriggers, top quality electronics and every possible safety precaution is taken. If you plan on chasing Salmon, Tuna or rockfish up here and want a great private boaters experience, give Joe a call. Heck he can even provide some first class custom rods outfitted with the finest in Shimano reels! Yeah, I know this is spam, but Joe is a great guy who works hard to make sure everyone has the very best possible trip. I wouldn't be writing this, if it wasn't 110% accurate.

Larry Holt

Thank you Larry!

You can add photos easy too Joe...

You can add as many photos as you want. This is a powerful tool for adding content in a organized manner to your web site. The more content the more visitors. You can add fishing tips or whatever. Try to add something new every week that has to do with fishing so visitors will keep coming back to read your blogs. I know I look forward to reading your blogs. This blog itself can be deleted.

Check out the movie here Joe! You can add them easy.

First blog entry... You can delete latter...

Hey Joe,

Setting up a blog here for your web site. You can add anything yourself here and it should be very easy. Also write articles about fishing in Morro Bay. You can also add pictures and video. I think you will love it if you give this a try!

Take care bro and thanks for putting up with me. Your friend and fellow angler, Gregg Blasingame. Now on with the blog!
